The book also contains a passenger list of every Bricknell (over 300 passenger entries) that departed by ship from the UK for any destination worldwide between 1890 and 1960.

About the Author
Bradley was born in South Africa, and over time developed an interest in what motivated his great-grandfather to emigrate from his home in Wales in 1914 to South Africa. From 2004 Bradley spent 3 years in the UK, and it was during that time that he visited Milford Haven, birthplace of his great-grandfather. Armed with only an address from his grandfather which was supposed to be the birthplace of his great-grandfather and a sprinkling of family history enthusiasm he headed off one weekend to the south-west corner of Wales. A series of amazing coincidences led him to meet a family member, who was a three-time mayor of Milford Haven, and learn the story of the Bricknell legacy. That started the journey of research and discovery that resulted in him gathering the information that details the amazing story of emigrants who risked all in order to find a better life for their families in some remote part of the African continent. Bradley has 5 children and a wife who shares his fascination with family history. He has a Ph.D. in the field of Chemisry.

About the Author Both authors have extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. They have been involved in more than 50 transformation projects of telecommunications operators worldwide.

Prof. Dr. Christian Czarnecki works as a professor at the University of Applied Sciences, which is part of the Deutsche Telekom Group (Hochschule für Telekommunikation Leipzig, Germany). His lectures and research focus on information systems and the telecommunications industry. He has a broad practical experience in different consulting companies and has managed numerous transformation projects of telecommunications operators in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. In the TM Forum he is involved in the further development of the enhanced Telecom Operations Map (eTOM). He received a doctorate of engineering from the University of Magdeburg for his research in the field of enterprise architecture and reference models.

Christian Dietze is based in Abu Dhabi and works as regional director in the international telecommunications industry. He has held various leading positions in the telecommunications industry and has been responsible for the management and quality assurance of significant restructuring projects in the Middle East/North Africa, Central Africa/South Africa, Europe and Asia for more than a decade. Most recently he has been supporting several chief executives of leading international telecommunications operators to successfully establish their digital business units.
